What is the church of Christ?
The church of Christ is the church of the New Testament (Covenant) established by Christ through His Apostles on the Feast of Pentecost in the year A.D. 30, in Jerusalem  as revealed in The Book of Acts chapter two. The church is the fulfillment of the promise made by Jesus to His disciples in Matthew 16:14-19, where Jesus said He would build His church. Note Jesus said He would build His church "singular" not chruches as in many.

Christ's church is one of a kind, it is unique in all the world, there is not another like it. The Apostle Paul referred to the church of our Lord as " the church of Christ" ... in his letter to the faithful in Rome he wrote... "Salute one another with an holy kiss, the churches of Christ salute you." Romans 16:16. The plurality of church here clearly refers to the several churches of the first century, those established by Paul and others.

The word of God, both the Old and the New Testament, guide  the church in all things spiritual. We adhere to no man made rules, doctrine, creeds or religious practices that differ from the teachings of the New Tesament.

The life of Jesus, His teachings and doctrine, His sacrifice and His memorial, (which, is the Lord's Supper, Matthew 26:26-30, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) established by Him before his death, are vital and are taught diligently weekly in our bible classes and from the pulpit. The history of the church, the promise of heaven through obedience, govern our commitment to serve only the living God through His Son, Jesus Christ. We sincerely follow steadfastly the Apostles Doctrine as did the early Christians, Acts 2:41-42. Members of the churches of Christ wear only the name Christian, the name given the followers of the early church by the Holy Spirit in Acts 11:26.

Our goal is to reach heaven and our purpose on earth is to spread the Gospel of Christ throughout our immediate communities and to be available for bible study and assistance whenever needed. We believe a community dedicated to serving the Lord is a community commited to serving one another.

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast,
unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labor
is not in vain in the Lord."
1 Corinthians 15:58
